1. Agreement to These Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and [LLC LEGAL NAME] (“SkyReady,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) governing your use of the SkyReady Aviator mobile app, the skyready.app website, the free online flight tools, and all related cloud services (together, the “Services”). By creating an account, downloading the app, or using any part of the Services — including the free tools — you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

2. Safety Disclaimer — Read This First

SkyReady is a planning and educational aid only. It is not an authoritative source and is not a substitute for official information, current weather briefings, approved aircraft documentation, or your own judgment.

  • The Services — including the logbook, currency and proficiency calculations, readiness assessments, the free tools (E6B, METAR/TAF decoder, crosswind, density altitude, sunrise/sunset, and others), and the AI “Copilot” assistant — may contain errors, omissions, stale data, or inaccuracies, and may be unavailable at any time.
  • Weather and aeronautical data are sourced from third parties (such as aviationweather.gov and the FAA) and are provided “as is” without any warranty of accuracy, completeness, or timeliness.
  • You are the pilot in command. You are solely responsible for the safe and legal conduct of every flight, including verifying currency, eligibility, weather, weight and balance, performance, NOTAMs, and all regulatory requirements against official, authoritative sources before you fly.
  • Nothing in the Services constitutes flight instruction, dispatch, a weather briefing, or aeronautical or legal advice.

You assume all risk arising from your use of the Services.

3. Eligibility

The Services are intended for users in the United States who are at least 13 years old. By using the Services you represent that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide is accurate. The Services are not directed to children under 13.

4. Your Account

Some features require an account. You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Use a strong, unique password, enable multi-factor authentication where available, and notify us promptly of any unauthorized use. You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter, including logbook entries and credentials.

5. Subscriptions, Billing & Trials

  • Free tier. Core logbook features and the online tools are available at no charge.
  • Pro subscription. Pro features are offered on a paid subscription ($6.99/month or $49.99/year, or as otherwise displayed), and may include a free trial (currently 30 days, starting when you first access a Pro feature).
  • Billing through app stores. Subscriptions are sold and billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, subject to their terms. Payment is charged to your store account at confirmation of purchase.
  • Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel your subscription in your device’s store subscription settings; cancelling stops future renewals and retains access through the period already paid for.
  • Trials. If you do not cancel before a free trial ends, it converts to a paid subscription at the then-current price. Unused trial time is forfeited on purchase.
  • Refunds are handled by the applicable app store under its policies; we do not separately process payments or card details.
  • Price changes will be communicated in advance as required by the app stores and applicable law.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • use the Services in any unlawful manner or in violation of any regulation;
  • rely on the Services as a sole source for any safety-critical decision;
  • copy, scrape, resell, or commercially exploit the Services or their data except as expressly permitted;
  • reverse engineer, interfere with, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Services or their infrastructure (including the public tools API);
  • upload unlawful, infringing, or malicious content, or content you do not have the right to upload; or
  • misrepresent your identity, credentials, or another person’s records.

We may suspend or terminate access for conduct that violates these Terms or that we reasonably believe harms other users, the public, or SkyReady.

7. Your Content

You retain ownership of the content you create or upload (such as logbook entries, remarks, signatures, and documents). You grant us a limited license to host, store, process, transmit, and display that content solely to operate and improve the Services for you (for example, syncing across your devices and generating Copilot responses), as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for maintaining your own backups of important records.

8. Intellectual Property

The Services, including software, designs, text, tool calculations, and branding, are owned by SkyReady or our licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Services for their intended purpose. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

9. Third-Party Services & Data

The Services integrate third-party services and public data sources (for example, AWS, Anthropic/Claude via AWS Bedrock, RevenueCat, the app stores, and public FAA/weather feeds). Your use of those services may be subject to their terms, and we are not responsible for their content, availability, or accuracy.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any data, calculation, or assessment will be accurate or current.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SKYREADY AND ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, OR FOR ANY DAMAGES RELATING TO THE OPERATION OF AN AIRCRAFT OR RELIANCE ON THE SERVICES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICES IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) US $50. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SkyReady from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of your use of the Services, your content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

13. Termination

You may stop using the Services and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Services. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 2, 7–12, and 14) will survive.

14. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of [STATE], United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in [STATE] for any dispute not subject to binding arbitration or small-claims court, to the extent permitted by law.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will revise the “Last Updated” date above and, for material changes, provide more prominent notice as required by law. Your continued use of the Services after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
