Hot spots at KATL
2 hot spots drawn on the map, with the Chart Supplement’s description for each.
- HS 1 Intersections of Twy C and Twy D at Rwy 08L–26R. Hold short line is only 250' after exiting the FBO ramp. Rwy hold bar is canted which peaks towards the twy.
- HS 2 Intersections of Twy C and Twy D at Rwy 08R–26L. Caution transitioning between the parallel rwys. Rwy hold bar is canted which peaks towards the twy. Rwy hold short line is only 380' away after exiting Rwy 08L–26R and 70' south of the Twy B centerline.

Takeoff, alternate and surface information
- Takeoff minimums are published for KATL. Standard is 1 statute mile visibility for one and two engine aircraft (½ mile for more than two) unless this section says otherwise; Part 91 operators are not bound by them but the obstacle notes apply to everyone.
- Non standard alternate minimums are published: if you file KATL as an IFR alternate, the required forecast is higher than the default 600-2 for precision or 800-2 for non precision approaches. Check the alternate rule tool.
- Land and hold short operations (LAHSO) are conducted here. The plate lists which runway intersections and the available landing distance for each; a pilot may always decline a LAHSO clearance.
